Review by Annie Riordan

An intergalactic hunter, who looks a lot like a giant Gumby with a traffic signal on his head, comes to Earth in search of his prey: a very dangerous, flesh eating alien... who looks like a big ant with a Giger alien head stuck to its body. Unfortunately, they land smack dab in the middle of a rural community and a stranded group of survivors are now caught in the middle of their deadly battle.

And that’s really all you need to know. The aliens stalk each other through the woods and the humans spend 80 minutes trying to get out of their way. Yeah. BORING! The “battle” itself looks like an uninspired game of paintball in the backyard and though I have a feeling that this Alien Vs. Predator rip-off was meant as a spoof, it’s incredibly dull and really really really REALLY boring. I fell asleep the first time I tried to watch this: I exaggerate not. If this had been made in the 80s, it would have looked great on “USA Up All Night” with your host Gilbert Gottfried. But it’s 2007 and this just looks like total garbage. The script is long-winded and drier than a 90 year old spinster in a dust storm. And both Katt (Carrie) and Pfeiffer (Michelle’s lil’ sis) look embarrassed. Granted, they haven’t done anything in a while, but come on - they deserve better than this.

You know, if you absolutely fucking hated AVP: Alien Vs. Predator, by all means: rent this movie! It makes AVP look like The Battleship Potemkin! Usually, I enjoy The Asylum’s shameless rip-off “mockbuster’s” and quite a few of them are actually halfway decent and even fun! But this one sucks. Special effects: crap. Gore: sparse. Sex: none. Acting: shit. Script: haha, yeah right. Story: no, not really. Humor: absent. Sum up: do not waste your time.

“A must see for AVP fans.”
